Welcome to Buckeye Motel

The Buckeye Motel, nestled at 5700 Urbana Pike in Frederick, Maryland, offers travelers a solid choice with a 4.2-star rating reflecting its consistent quality and attentive service. This modest yet welcoming lodge stands out not for extravagant amenities but for genuine hospitality and convenient location, making it an ideal base for visitors exploring Frederick’s rich sights and recreational options.

Guests frequently highlight the motel’s approachable and hands-on ownership. Colleen Molony praises the “awesome owners who stay on top of everything,” while James Osborne echoes this sentiment, noting the owners’ willingness to work closely with guests. Larry Miller also appreciates the friendliness and helpful nature of the staff, particularly highlighting the availability of special weekly rates that cater well to extended stays.

Though Buckeye Motel lacks a restaurant, fitness center, or swimming pool, it offers free Wi-Fi and free parking, essentials for many modern travelers. However, parking can be tricky during peak times, as reported by Nanc Smith, where crowded lots occasionally complicate vehicle movement. Despite this, the local amenities, along with nearby food and beverage options, including popular spots for beer, make up for the motel’s simple setup. Rich Krol’s lighthearted mention of a coke machine by the front hints at the motel’s no-frills, relaxed atmosphere.

The motel shines as a practical and dependable accommodation choice where the warmth of a family-run establishment gives it a unique charm. Its location supports easy access to Frederick's historic districts, parks, and recreational activities—making it perfect for tourists keen on sightseeing and immersing themselves in the local culture.

Overall, Buckeye Motel delivers on its promise of straightforward comfort and personalized care. Its strength lies not in luxury but in the sincere connection between owners and guests—a refreshing aspect that makes visitors feel not just like customers, but like welcomed friends. For those valuing authenticity and accessibility over extravagance, Buckeye Motel stands as an inviting option for a memorable stay in Frederick.

Food and Beer were great! Parking was a nightmare. Apparently one patron was so anxious to get inside they couldn't Park properly. It made it very difficult for cars to pass by
